Missed out on a place in the London Marathon?

The rejection letters have been landing for applicants in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon - and if you are one of the disappointed thousands then why not consider one of two great alternative Spring marathons?

The Paris Marathon on April 10th is none of the world's great city marathons with some 40,000 runners taking to the streets of the French capital. This is a great opportunity to run in one of Europe's classic cities. The route takes you along the historic river Seine and by world famous sites such as the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Arc de Triumph and the Louvre. Not only a real personal challenge - but, of course, the opportunity to indulge in some good food, good wine with some traditional sight seeing!

Nice Work will once again be taking a group to Paris on a two day weekend trip by road - and places are still available.

Entries to the race are also still available - but you need to act quickly if you want to secure your place. There are currently some 8,000 places still available - and you should visit www.parismarathon.com to place your entry as soon as possible. If you have any problems trying to make your entry - let us know and we will do it for you.

Once you have your entry, Nice Work offers a free race entry management service including liaison with the race organisers, collection of numbers etc. We will do all we can to ensure that your marathon weekend goes as smoothly as possible - leaving you free to focus on your race.

So if you do wish to join us in Paris, please let us know as soon as possible.

If Paris isn’t for you, then why not consider Luxembourg? One of our favourite races of the year is the Night Run in Luxembourg which takes place on June 4th. We have attended every race since this fabulous event was established a few years ago and it never fails to disappoint. There is a choice of marathon, half marathon or mini marathon (4.4K) with all three events taking place in a fabulous atmosphere through streets thronging with crowds, music and live bands. Our three day/two night trip includes a full day's sightseeing and a stop in Bruges on the way home for lunch.

Nice Work has guaranteed entries for the race and if you'd like to join us, why not book your place today?

Further details are available on our website www.nice-work.org.uk

We also have two events over shorter distances early in 2011. The ever popular Ostend to Bruges 10 Mile race in March is perfect for your spring marathon training - a pancake flat 10 mile race plus a stay in the wonderful city of Bruges with time for shopping and sightseeing. Then, in May we make a welcome return to Le Touquet and Montreuil-sur-Mer for the Ramparts 10K - a Saturday afternoon race that leaves time for a guilt-free Saturday night out!

If you require more information on any of our overseas events, including details of Iceland, Dublin, The Somme and our third trip to the Himalayas in October 2011 for the 100 Mile Stage Race drop us an email at info@nice-work.org.uk, visit www.nice-work.org.uk or call 01797 230999.
